“ZeFABULOUS”

“I paint items and places you recognize and can name with rich, saturated colors, feeling no need to replicate Reality. I strive for strong designs, but with simplified shapes and values. My primary goal is to create places you aspire to visit… to construct “Your Life in Color.”

“The moment I pulled that naked pony from the box, I saw a zebra. The image was so strong, the stripes seemed to fall off the paint brush. Each black and cream stripe was painted in multiple layers – quite time consuming. I tried to keep it gender neutral, to keep it from being silly or frivolous. The end result, to me, feels cheerful, not too bright or feminine. I feel I gave ZeFabulous some dignity and elegance.”

“Butterflies and zebras and moonbeams and fairy tales.
That’s all she ever thinks about, riding with the wind.”
