“TAG!”

I would describe my art style as wild and childish. I know every kindergartner is an artistic genius, and I’m desperately trying to hold onto that ideal. I am constantly inspired by the whimsical artwork of children. It was a milestone for me to be included in this project. I still think of myself as a ghetto tagger, but I want to be more than that, and this project pointed out to me that I’m on the right track.

Painting the pony was challenging for me because the surface isn’t flat, but my feelings about the finished work are about the same as for every painting I’ve ever done, after it leaves my hands: I think it’s cool, but I wish I would have done better.

“People say graffiti is ugly, irresponsible and childish…
but that’s only if it’s done properly.”
